Editing My Music Video

Image
Hello, my people! Welcome back, today I'll be discussing my editing process for my music video. The software I used to edit my video is CapCut. When it comes to video editing, CapCut, the widely acclaimed mobile video editing app, truly stands out with its impressive range of creative tools and features. It made importing my videos a breeze, and I did it all with ease at the click of a button. Once my video was uploaded the first thing I did was set each video in order of how I wanted it. I used one of our longer videos and split it up by inserting some of our shorter videos in between. However, there was an issue, when I uploaded the videos it reached 1 minute and 50 seconds. Meaning, I had to edit down 35 seconds. After sorting all of that out it was time to test out their features. CapCut doesn't hold back when it comes to editing tools; it boasts an extensive collection of transitions, filters, and effects that could effortlessly elevate my video. To give our music vide

Experience At The Park Blog

Image
Hello, my people! Today I am talking about my experience at the park trying to film. We met after school at 7 11, however, Jayden showed up about 30 minutes late. After waiting for him we decided to buy some drinks and snacks. Then we started walking until Jayden realized one of his shoes had fallen out of his bag. He went to retrieve his shoe and we continued to walk to the park. I brought along my friend Brooklyn so she could record us because I thought it would be better if all of our members were in the video. I also brought along another friend Edward because he's the only one with a good phone since I left my phone at home one day. It was an 11-minute walk to Middle River Terrace Park, and I almost got run over a couple of times. Once we arrived at the park, it took a short while to calm down Brooklyn as she was not focused on trying to record. I finally managed to get her to calm down, and then we started recording. I tried to stick to the storyboard as much as possibl

Camera Angles and Shots for Beatles recording

Image
Hello, my people, and welcome back! Today, I will be talking about the filming process of the music video. The plan is to go to a park after school and do three/fourth of the recordings there. An iPhone will be used for the recordings instead of an actual camera. For the first couple of scenes, I will be recording my group mates to make their entrance for the music video. For the scene in particular, I will be trying to achieve certain angles. For starters, the angle that will be used the most is going to be the eye level angle. And when they first walk in I will be in front of them slowly walking backward while they walk forward thus creating a tracking shot. Depending on how I'm feeling at the time I might try to get other angles like low and high angles. Throughout the filming I will get an establishing and wide shot of all of us and the whole park. The method I'm thinking of using to get this done is to climb up the tallest tree there so I can get a shot of the whole land

Planning blog: Yesterday (by The Beatles, 1965)

Song Title:  Yesterday (by the Beatles, 1965) Props: Props we will be using are most likely going to be old coinage. The reason being were going to try and make it seem like we are in the era of when the song was made. At this time they still used silver coins and wheat pennies so I can use some of mine as props for the video. Just so I can make it that much more accurate and real to make the story come alive. Costumes: Costumes will be dark, probably black jackets and shades. The reason being it is a sad song, and the clothing has to reflect the feelings of the character(s) in the music video. The Beatles themselves also wore black. Perhaps to protect their identity from crazy fans, we’ll need to protect our own identity due to the nature of this music video anyway. Schedule: The time for the meet will be an early evening on the weekday. Ideal conditions are cloudy with no rain. Rain could affect the filming process negatively. And since the music video is supposed to be a little dep

Research Blog: Music Video

Hello my people! Today I will be referencing three music videos by The Beatles and analyzing them. The first song is A Hard Day's Night. In the music video there are several camera angles. The angles include Wide shots showing the entire band performing. As well as medium shots showing the members upper bodies. The music video also contains close ups, emphasizing the members expressions. For movement, it include shots that zoom in and out. A common shot used in the music video is reaction shots, capturing audience reactions to the performance. The video takes place on a stage in London while performing. The video was performed outside so the lighting was natural. As normally, The Beatles were wearing their classing stylish suits. There is only type of editing which are just cutaways. Since the music is being produced by guitars the sound is diegetic. There is obviously voice over as you can hear their voices while the shots change. And there is the ambient sound of the audience

My Group for the Music Video

Image
Hello, my people, welcome back. Today, I will be discussing my first steps in the music video project. First and foremost, as I mentioned in my previous blog, I will not be working alone as I have a group of questionably "talented" individuals. I am working with a set of peers who sit next to me in class, and they're people I have grown a liking to despite their weird quirks. I am working with three people. Mario, Myles, and Jayden. I have chosen to work with them for a set of reasons. Working with others will make this project easier as I would have a way to alleviate some of my work by having partners. Stating our opinions and values will also be helpful so we can bounce back ideas and come up with a better project than we would by ourselves. As people say, "the more the merrier." I pray that I will not regret being in a group with these individuals because I don't have the utmost confidence in their responsibility skills. However, the reward of working to

Welcome back, my people! It's a pleasure to have you here again. Today marks the beginning of an exciting new project I'm thrilled to share with you. This time around, I won't be working alone; I'm collaborating with a group of three questionably "talented" individuals. Together, we're embarking on the creative journey of producing a music video. The song for our music video is already composed, and it's a piece we're passionate about. Working as a team, we aim to craft the most exceptional music video possible. Each member of our group brings unique talents and perspectives to the project. I believe our differences in creativity will help us achieve to make a superb video. We are ready to experiment with various artistic elements. From visual storytelling to choreography and cinematography. We hope that the song we're going to choose will convey a message, and evoke feelings through our work. We recognize that creating a music video is a varie
